Ingredients
1 fresh brocoli
or 1 package of frozen brocoli (11.5 oz (250 g))
1 cut small oninon
1 cut garlic clove
1 bay leaf
1 cup (250 ml) of evaporated milk
1/2 cup (125 ml) of instant chicken broth
1 tablespoon (15 ml) of oil
3 tablespoons (45 ml) flour
or 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of wheat flour
- for the fresh brocoli:
- cut in pieces, use also the cut stems
- put in a pot, rince in boiling water then fill with
cold water
- cook the brocoli until it's tender
- remove from the heat and put aside to conserve the
brocoli water
- cook the onion and the garlic in oil in a frying pan
- add brocoli and bay leaf, mix
- add flour and mix, this will permit the cream to be more
consistant
- add the evaporated milk and mix so it will not stick
- for the chicken broth:
- take the instant chicken broth
- add 1/2 cup (125 ml) of brocoli water
- add it to the rest until boiling
- remove from heat and remove the bay leaf
- put everything in the mixer until it's creamy
- serve
* this cream is a full meal by itself
